Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Telehealth Assessments - Remote

The Optum Serve Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner provides clinically competent delivery of quality virtual medical care services required during Optum Serve operations. This position works in collaboration with other providers and healthcare team members to complete virtual health assessments in non-traditional healthcare settings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual medical assessments, triage, and referrals.
• Analyze and interpret histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information.
• Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' plans of care using EHR platforms.
• Manage new medical problems and appropriate follow-up on any ongoing medical problems.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper patient identification practices.
• Provide virtual support in emergent situations while waiting for emergency response teams.

Shift Expectations

• 3 shift options starting at 8 am CST, 9 am CST, or 10 am CST.
• 8.5-hour shifts including two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break.
• One weekend rotation per month with a choice of a weekday off that week.
