Role Overview
Optum Serve is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide clinically competent virtual medical care services supporting military readiness. Working remotely in a non-traditional clinical setting, this role involves patient triage, assessments, and referrals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual medical assessments and analyze patient histories, symptoms, and physical findings.
- Perform virtual patient triage, manage new medical problems, and provide follow-up on ongoing issues.
- Ensure appropriate follow-ups for referrals and maintain detailed records of patient care plans.
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and organizational policies while working independently with minimal supervision.
Shift Expectations
- Three shift options available: 8 am CST, 9 am CST, or 10 am CST starts.
- Shifts are 8.5 hours long, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
- Must work one weekend rotation per month with a chosen weekday off.
