Position Overview
- Role: Nurse Practitioner (Virtual Care – Contractor)
- Work Type: Remote, 1099 Contractor
- Time Commitment: 20 hours/week with guaranteed schedule and set shifts
- Compensation: Approximately $60/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient evaluations via scheduled video visits
- Manage initial intake and treatment planning for adult patients (18+)
- Review lab results and prescribe medications (primarily GLP-1 agonists when appropriate)
- Address ongoing patient concerns via chat and portal communications
- Handle prescription refills, lab follow-up, and chronic care coordination
- Practice within the scope of evidence-based and inclusive care models
Qualifications
- Active NP licenses in at least 15 states
- Certification: AGNP-BC or FNP-BC (ANCC or AANP)
- 2+ years independent NP practice preferred
- Experience in weight loss care and GLP-1 prescribing highly preferred
