Role Overview
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential remote opportunity for a Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master's Degree in a medical field from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state.
- Board certification as a PA or NP.
- Current credential or prior medical provider experience within the USCG healthcare network.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in medical record review, medical waiver adjudication, or military medical assessments.
- Familiarity with USCG and DoD medical policies, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical standards for commissioning and retention physicals.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with EMR systems including Cerner EMR, MHS GENESIS, and Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV).
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional specialty certifications in emergency medicine or behavioral health (e.g., NCCPA, AANPCB, PMHNP-BC).
- Experience leading research projects evaluating medical waiver outcomes.
- Ability to review and analyze weekly discharge rosters.
- Demonstrated skill in providing constructive feedback.
