Job Description
Responsibilities
- Takes history, performs assessments, forms diagnoses, develops plans of care, and assures follow-up.
- Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention.
- Manages acute and chronic diseases.
- Orders, conducts, and interprets diagnostic tests and x-rays.
- Prescribes treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Collaborates with other health care providers and works autonomously.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioner).
- New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license or Board of Medical Examiners license for Physician Assistants.
- Federal and state DEA license and ANCC certification required.
