Virtual PRN Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) | MUSC Health Department of Emergency Medicine | Telehealth

The Division of Emergency Medicine Telehealth is seeking a PRN Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its team of Advanced Practice Providers for the Virtual Provider in Triage service.

Key Responsibilities

• Virtually assess all ED lobby patients, take concise histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Assign patients to appropriate treatment locations and place initial diagnostic and therapeutic orders.
• Communicate with the ED care team regarding critical presentations, condition changes, or abnormal test results.
• Document and bill for direct care provided, and initiate referrals or consult with attending physicians.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical research, and precept students.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure or eligibility.
• 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Emergency Medicine plus telehealth experience.
• Current certifications including BLS, ACLS, DHEC, and DEA.
• Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner (ENP) or FNP certification preferred.
