PRN Virtual Provider In Triage – Emergency Medicine – Orangeburg, Florence, Marion, and Cades, SC

Role Overview

MUSC Community Physicians is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Virtual Provider in Triage (VPIT) service in emergency medicine. Providers conduct virtual assessments, support ED lobby patients, and collaborate with on-site care teams.

Responsibilities

• Virtually assess emergency department lobby patients
• Perform concise history and physical examinations
• Assign patients to appropriate treatment locations and place initial orders
• Communicate critical presentations and status changes to the on-site care team
• Document and bill for direct care provided utilizing Epic EHR

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as an APRN or PA in South Carolina
• FNP with current Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner (ENP) Certification
• 3 years of experience as an APP in Emergency Medicine
• 3 years of experience in Telehealth
• Ability to provide a personal computer/laptop with webcam access
