Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, After Hours Call Program

Overview

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is hiring a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our After Hours Call Program. This program delivers virtual visits, telephonic support, and clinical guidance to patients during non-business hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions

• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to designated patient populations.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on findings.
• Order medications and write prescriptions according to policies and procedures.
• Provide high-quality and timely documentation.
• Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies required.
• Experience: 4 years of primary care or triage nurse practitioner/physician assistant experience required.
• Licenses & Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant state license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
