Role Overview
Mass General Brigham is seeking a remote, per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to handle indirect work within provider in-basket folders. This includes patient gateway messages, telephone triage, prescription refills, and critical results review.
Responsibilities
- Manage provider in-basket folders including patient gateway messages, telephone calls, urgent refills, critical results, and CC'd charts.
- Handle telephone calls ranging from routine to emergent, including prescription writing and ordering labs or radiology.
- Collaborate with medical assistants and nursing staff supporting indirect patient care and virtual visits.
- Provide coverage for providers on vacation or off-site, and assist other providers as time permits.
- Process routine medication refills for up to a 90-day supply with four refills, excluding controlled substances.
- Perform patient assessments, develop plans of care, and execute diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- 2 years of licensed APP experience required.
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) / APRN license required.
- BLS certification preferred.
