Role Overview

The Telehealth NP/PA is responsible for the care of patients using our proprietary online platform, overseeing overall patient care and managing select emergency cases.

Functional Responsibilities and Duties

• Care of Patients (online):
  • Converse with patients via the digital health platform using direct shift work (synchronous and asynchronous).
  • Obtain focused medical history, conduct clinical assessments, and formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Provide medical decision-making (MDM) and treatment plans for non-threatening conditions (e.g., colds, flu, ear infections, UTIs, allergies, rashes, weight loss, fitness instructions).
  • Electronically prescribe medications, provide dosage instructions, order diagnostic testing, and issue referrals.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) while adhering to HIPAA and corporate information security policies.
• Administration:
  • Attend mandatory staff and provider meetings.
  • Stay current on clinical guidance from the Chief Medical Officer and Quality Team.
  • Participate in quality assurance and care improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Education & Licensure:
  • AP/NP License in multiple states (must hold or be willing to obtain more than 40 state licenses).
• Experience:
  • At least 5 years of practice experience.
  • Specific training and experience in emergency medicine or family medicine.
  • Telemedicine experience is desirable.
