About Contact Medical Services
Contact Medical Services is a rapidly expanding national telemedicine company focused exclusively on timely, evidence-based concussion care for student-athletes. We partner with schools, athletic programs, and insurers to ensure athletes have immediate access to specialty-level concussion evaluation and management, regardless of location.
We are currently in a high-growth expansion phase across multiple states and are building the clinical foundation of what we believe will become the leading tele-concussion platform in the U.S.
This is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast-scaling specialty telehealth company and help shape the future of concussion care.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our early clinical team and provide high-quality, virtual concussion care to adolescent and young adult athletes.
This role is ideal for clinicians who:
• Are passionate about sports medicine, neurology, or adolescent health
• Want to practice at the forefront of concussion care delivery
• Are excited about helping build a national platform from the ground up
• Are interested in future leadership and clinical operations roles as the company scales
Core Responsibilities
• Perform real-time telemedicine concussion evaluations
• Develop and implement evidence-based management plans
• Conduct follow-up visits and return-to-learn / return-to-play assessments
• Communicate with athletic trainers, school administrators, families, and coaches
• Provide medical clearance when appropriate per protocol
• Document accurately and thoroughly in the EMR
• Adhere to all telemedicine, state licensing, and concussion care protocols
Requirements
• Active NP or PA license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state licensure strongly preferred)
• Prior experience with concussion, sports medicine, emergency medicine, neurology, orthopedics, or adolescent care strongly preferred
• Prior telemedicine experience a plus
• Active individual malpractice insurance policy
• DEA license if applicable
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
Compensation & Structure
• $90–$115/hour based on experience, licensure breadth, and concussion background
• Fully remote, flexible scheduling
• No billing, collections, or administrative burden
• Independent Contractor (1099) relationship
• Non-exclusive — clinicians may work with other organizations
Growth & Leadership Opportunities
As an early clinician on our platform, you will have the opportunity to:
• Help shape national concussion care protocols
• Participate in quality assurance and provider training as we scale
• Serve as a future regional lead, clinical supervisor, or medical director-level role
• Contribute to clinical innovation in school-based telemedicine
We are intentionally building our leadership team from within as we expand across states.
