Registered Nurse, ER, RN, Remote Triage

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse, Care Line, provides telephonic triage directional patient care advice for general and specific illnesses, health-related issues, client counseling, patient advocacy, health education, and referral and resource management to ChenMed patients and their families. This is a remote position requiring residency in the Continental United States and within a compact state.

Responsibilities

• Connect with patients via phone or video call to collect health history and record comprehensive data.
• Provide health assessments, treatment solutions, patient monitoring, and aid in emergency scenarios.
• Monitor vital signs including blood oxygen, heart rate, respirations, blood pressure, and blood glucose.
• Collaborate with on-call providers and the interdisciplinary care plan team.
• Evaluate and document progress toward anticipated outcomes using telemedicine.

Schedule

• Monday: 1700-2230
• Thursday: 1700-2200
• Friday: 1700-2230
• Saturday: 0800-2000
• Sunday: 0830-2030

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Nurse Licensure Compact required, with Michigan and Illinois licensure required within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of acute clinical nursing experience required.
