LPN - Patient Care Coordinator and Scheduler (Remote - Must Reside In Tennessee)

Our growing, woman-owned business, Arete Consulting LLC, is seeking a highly motivated LPN Patient Care Coordinator and Scheduler to join our team! In this full-time, Monday-Friday role, you’ll work remotely, ensuring the highest standards of compliance for patient coordination and scheduling in work-related injury case management.
Responsibilities:
• Patient care coordination and complete scheduling and planning related to ongoing medical needs in a timely and cohesive manner.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records and charts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Workers' Compensation standards.
• Provide legally accurate summaries of medical findings for use in case management, facilitating effective claim resolution.
• Communicate effectively with team members, insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, employers, and injured workers to ensure all records are accurate and complete.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and uphold privacy standards in all documentation.
• Utilize software programs such as Google Suite, MS Office Suite, Adobe products, case management software, and EMR systems to support the documentation process.
Qualifications:
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in an administrative type role.
• Valid Tennessee LPN licensure in good standing.
• Proven expertise in medical terminology, with knowledge of legal terminology preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage high-volume record reviews efficiently.
• High proficiency in computer technology and various software programs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and spelling.
• Ability to work independently, managing workflow to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy.
• Dedicated, distraction-free workspace in your home that is HIPAA-compliant during business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST).
Requirements:
• Tennessee residency is mandatory for this role.
• Demonstrated commitment to long-term career growth with a strong work history in medical records management.

• Our documentation is recorded as billable time, similar to the process used in an attorney’s office. Billable time is essential to the sustainability of the company, making it critical that all documentation is captured accurately and entered correctly. Have you previously worked within a billable time system? If not, training will be provided. Do you understand the importance of this documentation method as a key component of the company’s continued operation?
• Although this is a remote position, Tennessee residency is a mandatory requirement for this position. The scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST. Do you meet this requirement?
• This position involves precise attention to detail and active coordination of patient care. Scheduling tasks must be completed within strict legal timeframes. Are you able to meet deadlines and consistently maintain timely work? Additionally, do you feel confident in your ability to prioritize your workload effectively?
• This position requires the ability to produce narrative documentation in a grammatically correct format. Do you have the writing skills necessary to create clear, medically accurate, and legally concise narratives? Please note that abbreviations are not used in our documentation, and this writing style differs significantly from traditional charting. Do you feel confident in your ability to meet these standards?
