Remote Triage Registered Nurse (RN) - Patient Access and Care Team PT

Role Overview

Advocate Aurora Health is hiring a part-time Remote Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to support patient access and care teams. Please note that remote work is not permitted from CA, CO, CT, HI, MA, MD, MN, NJ, MY, OR, RI, VT, WA.

Schedule

• Part-time position (30 or 32 hours per week)
• 3 (10-hour) shifts or 4 (8-hour) shifts available
• Morning start times (8a, 9a, 10a) or PM start times (12p, 1p, 2p or later)
• Every fourth weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process and established protocols to assess patient needs telephonically.
• Determine appropriate care levels, provide patient education, and establish care plans.
• Prioritize patient interactions by acuity and collaborate with on-call providers.
• Accurately document all call encounters in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Maintain and update clinical records according to state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of practice.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• 2+ years of acute care experience (ED, Urgent Care, ICU, or Med/Surg) within the last 4 years.
• Stable and secure internet connection and a quiet workspace for calls.
