Role Overview
Teletherapeutics Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinical team as an Independent Contractor. The NP will conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations, follow-up visits, and medication management for patients across multiple states. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining clear documentation and high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive telehealth psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments.
• Diagnose and manage mental health conditions within NP scope of practice.
• Provide medication management, patient education, and treatment planning.
• Document all sessions accurately and promptly in the EHR system.
• Review patient history, labs, and clinical notes to support care decisions.
• Communicate professionally with patients, office staff, and collaborating providers.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and Teletherapeutics Health protocols.
• Participate in virtual clinical meetings or case reviews as needed.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and continuing education requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Hold a valid RN license, Nurse Practitioner national certification specifically trained in mental health (PMHNP) in one or more U.S. states (multi-state preferred).
• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing.
• DEA license and a controlled substance registration (must be current).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health, psychiatry, or primary care with psychiatric components.
• Experience providing care via telehealth preferred.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a confidential workspace.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
Contract Details
• 1099 Independent Contractor role.
• Flexible work hours; ability to choose schedule based on patient availability.
• Compensation based on per-appointment rate (evaluation + follow-up structure).
• No employee benefits (health insurance, PTO, etc.).
• Must maintain active malpractice insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in psychiatric medication management.
Multi-state NP licensure or willingness to expand licensure.
Prior telehealth or virtual care experience.
Bilingual skills (a plus).
