Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Full Time

About the Position

As a full-time remote Nurse Practitioner at Teladoc Health, you will provide urgent care treatment to patients via telephone or video. You will work independently in a fully unsupervised capacity, supported by a Practice Manager and Medical Director.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual patient assessments, collect medical history, and diagnose and treat common urgent care illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies based on evidence-based guidelines.
• Provide patient education, support, and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with telemedicine practices.

Requirements

• Completed an accredited US Nurse Practitioner program.
• Board Certification via ANCC or AANP.
• Five years of clinical experience post-NP training.
• Active Nurse Practitioner state license in Texas.
• Clear medical history with no nursing board actions or complaints.
• Prior telemedicine experience preferred.
• Tech-savvy with exemplary typing, grammar, and English command.
