Position Type: PRN / As-Needed (W-2)

About TSG Health & Wellness
TSG Health & Wellness is a growing telehealth program under The Ship Group Services LLC, built to deliver integrated medical + behavioral health support for Medicaid and underserved communities. We collaborate closely with our behavioral health team to provide whole-person care—primary care visits, behavioral health screening, medication management, and coordinated referrals.
Position Summary
We’re looking for a dependable, clinically strong Physician Assistant to provide telehealth primary care and medication management within an integrated care environment. This PRN role is ideal for a PA who enjoys structured workflows, is comfortable working independently, and has some exposure to behavioral health presentations commonly seen in primary care (depression/anxiety, sleep issues, trauma-related symptoms, substance use history, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct telehealth visits for common primary care needs (acute + chronic conditions)
• Provide medication management and follow-up care when clinically appropriate
• Use screening tools (e.g., PHQ-9/GAD-7) and coordinate with behavioral health clinicians as needed
• Order/review labs and diagnostics within scope and payer requirements
• Document accurately and timely in the EHR (same day preferred; within 24 hours required)
• Provide warm handoffs and clinically appropriate referrals to behavioral health/community supports
• Maintain compliance with telehealth standards, privacy requirements, and internal clinical protocols
What We Handle (So You Can Focus on Patient Care)
We intentionally remove the admin load that slows providers down:
• Intake coordination (demographics, insurance verification, required forms/consents)
• Scheduling, reminders, and non-clinical follow-ups
• Chart prep (pharmacy confirmation, medication list collection, organizing uploaded documents)
• Referral logistics and administrative coordination
• Supervising MD support in place + clear escalation pathway
• Clinical templates/workflows to support efficient documentation
No patient acquisition responsibility — we handle marketing and intake workflow to keep the schedule moving.
Requirements
• Active North Carolina PA license in good standing
• Must be able to prescribe and manage medications within scope, including e-prescribing and PDMP requirements when applicable
• Strong documentation habits and comfort using EHR/telehealth platforms
• Reliable internet + private workspace suitable for telehealth
• Primary care/urgent care/family medicine experience preferred
• Behavioral health experience/exposure preferred (integrated care, community health, depression/anxiety screening, substance use history, etc.)
Compensation & Growth
• $45–$50/hour (W-2 PRN) for scheduled, patient-facing clinic time (based on experience)
• 1–2 consistent clinic days/week to start; opportunity to expand as volume grows
• Compensation review at 6 months based on program growth, volume, and quality metrics
• Optional growth path into a Lead APP role as the program scales (for candidates who want leadership)
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
Benefits:
• Flexible schedule
