About the Role
Ophelia is a venture-backed healthcare startup helping individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) through a telehealth platform. As an Advanced Practice Practitioner, you will provide clinical care to patients receiving medication for OUD and a narrow suite of mental health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Treatment Plans: Determine individualized treatment plans and facilitate changes when patients are not improving.
- Behavioral Interventions: Use motivational interviewing and behavioral activation, and conduct behavioral health evaluations.
- Medication Management: Track treatment response, monitor clinical symptoms, side effects, and adherence, and prescribe medications.
- Education: Provide patient education on OUD and MOUD.
- Charting: Document all patient encounters in Ophelia's EHR.
Training and License Requirements
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Active DEA license (schedule 3N, 4, 5) or willingness to obtain one upon receiving an offer
- Fully licensed to practice in Pennsylvania
Required Skills
- Ability to provide patient-centered, non-judgmental, compassionate care
- Comfortable working in a remote telehealth environment
- Working knowledge of differential diagnosis of common substance use disorders and psychopharmacology
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
