Base pay range $45.00/hr - $75.00/hr Position: Utility Management Nurse (Insurance Coding & Revenue Management) Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $45–$75 per hour Location: Remote Commitment: Part-time, flexible hours Role Responsibilities • Review, audit, and optimize insurance coding practices to ensure compliance and accurate reimbursement outcomes. • Analyze existing hospital revenue management workflows and recommend improvements aligned with AI-driven documentation tools. • Interpret clinical documentation and translate it into standardized coding formats (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS). • Assess coding accuracy against payer policies and documentation guidelines. • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve AI-assisted medical coding and documentation workflows. • Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare documentation, coding, and privacy standards. Requirements • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background. • Strong experience (3–5+ years) in medical coding, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), or revenue cycle management. • CPC, CCS, or CRC certification preferred. • Strong experience with hospital billing systems, payer policy interpretation, and coding audit workflows. • Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards and reimbursement logic. • Comfort working with EHR systems and clinical documentation tools.
