Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled California Physician Assistant to join our telemedicine team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and a broad range of medical procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive patient care remotely across diverse medical specialties, including urgent care, primary care, and specialty services such as pain management and infectious disease care. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for conducting virtual patient assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, and supporting clinical research initiatives to advance healthcare delivery.
Duties
• Conduct thorough virtual patient evaluations utilizing telehealth technology, including vital signs assessment and physical examinations.
• Manage a wide spectrum of medical conditions in outpatient settings, including acute pain management, infectious diseases, geriatrics, pediatrics, and primary care.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and manage medical records efficiently.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine cases, and post-acute care coordination.
• Support clinical research efforts by collecting data, participating in clinical trials, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Apply advanced knowledge of physiology, anatomy, diagnostic evaluation techniques, CPT coding for procedures, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding practices, and medical terminology to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist in triage decisions for urgent or complex cases requiring escalation or hospital transfer while maintaining patient safety standards.
• Maintain proficiency in airway management techniques, ventilator support protocols, and infection control procedures relevant to telehealth environments.
Qualifications
• Valid California Physician Assistant license with current certification to practice in telemedicine settings.
• Demonstrated experience with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth platform familiarity is highly preferred.
• Enrolled in California Medicaid and Medicare
Pay: $100,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
