Nurse Practitioner, PRN (Virtual Care Service)

Role Overview

AC Wellness is looking for a PRN Nurse Practitioner to help shape and deliver a new virtual healthcare offering for the Apple employee population. This role provides acute and chronic disease care as well as preventative care consultations using emerging technology.

Essential Job Functions

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints, preventative health consultations, and health maintenance concerns.
• Engage with patients and practice medicine through chat and video telemedicine modalities.
• Document effectively in the medical record of each patient the basis for diagnoses made, treatment provided, and treatment plan established.
• Request and evaluate diagnostic studies, order and prescribe medications, and order specimens for routine laboratory tests.
• Order ancillary services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology examinations, and nursing services.
• Collaborate with team members virtually and participate in developing best practices and operational workflows.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 3 years of Primary Care and/or Acute Care experience required.
• Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPC-NP), or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP).
• Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current DEA registration and active license in California, Nevada, Washington, North Carolina, or Texas.
• EHR proficiency and comfort with telemedicine technology.

Schedule and Remote Work

• Shift requirements include 4 or more 6.5-hour shifts and 6-8 total shifts per month, operating between 6 AM and 8 PM PST daily.
• Fully remote position requiring a secure home office workspace complying with company remote work guidelines.
