Job Summary
CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYER
Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Medical Opinions for Veteran Disability Cases (Remote)
A confidential national organization is expanding its network of PAs and NPs to support veterans by developing clinical opinions and documentation used in disability claims. This work is remote, flexible, and centered on interpreting existing medical and service records to produce clear, evidence-based medical rationale.
Clinicians with military backgrounds — PA/NP, IDC, 68W/68C, corpsmen, flight medics, or VA clinical roles — tend to excel due to their familiarity with service-connected injuries and military medical documentation.
What You’ll Do
• Review medical and service records and identify clinically relevant history
• Develop clear, defensible written medical opinions and rationale
• Interpret timelines, exposures, and functional impact
• Write clear medical rationale that aligns with nexus standards, functional impairment concepts, and commonly referenced VA case law and medical-legal frameworks
• Use structured documentation templates to ensure consistency
• Participate in occasional case escalations or clinical review discussions
This role requires strong clinical reasoning and comfort working with detailed documentation.
Why Military Clinicians Align Well With This Work
• Understanding of duty limitations, exposures, and operational injuries
• Strong documentation and assessment habits
• Ability to interpret complex, multi-source medical histories
• Familiarity with VA-style records or disability-related processes is a plus
• Mission-driven connection to veteran outcomes
What You’ll Receive
• Templates, examples, and documentation standards
• Central coordination team supporting workflow
• Predictable and growing case volume
• Competitive per-case compensation
Ideal Background
• PA or NP with strong clinical reasoning
• Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, or Military Medicine

• Strong written communication
• Experience reviewing or interpreting medical documentation
• High accuracy and attention to detail
